  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbs pure vanilla extract
  • 8 tbs unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 4 tbs La Vieja Fabrica Strawberry Fruit Spread
  • 2 cups buttercream frosting
  • Toothpicks
  • 2 pieces green felt
  • 1 small Pot
  • 1 foam ball to fit pot


  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 F. In a small bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix until well combines. Add butter, eggs, vanilla and milk. Mix again until well combined.
  • 2. Divide the batter evenly between 10 muffins cups (each cup will be between 2/3 and 3/4 full). Bake for 15 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center of a cupcake comes out clean. Cool completely before frosting.
  • 3. Divide buttercream into two bowls. Add one color of choice to one bowl and one to another bowl and mix well. Open piping bag with a tip of choice and layer in buttercream. Frost cupcakes.
  • 4. Puncture toothpicks into leaves and scatter all over foam ball (paint green a few hours prior) Add cupcakes and enjoy!
